No one cares ... Unless they're paid to care !
This thought hit me recently!
I went through a tough phase and assumed people around me would care , sure they did ... But only to a degree ! After a while ... They were gone ... I realized and said to myself : "Girl , You are on your own" !!! This is real ... You see , People get back to their routines , their lives ... And ... you are literally "on your own!"
Here's how I analyze it :
People will care 100% if they are paid to care or if they will get / gain something out of their "care" for you ! At first , this hurts ... But when you really look into it , it actually makes sense ! Your friends , family members , colleagues , love interests , crushes , boyfriend / girlfriend all have their lives , they do love you , but they have their own challenges mentally , physically and spiritually ... You are not first on their minds ! (Unless you're in a marriage I guess ... I hope)!
This is where "insurances" come in ... they will call you on a daily basis to make sure you're ok ! They make you their business , because Infact ... You ARE their business .... You PAY THEM TO CARE !!
Think about it ... How many friends / colleagues of yours were involved in a crisis ? Sure you were there , showed love and support , but did you "stop your life" to focus on them ... ? Did you make "solving their crisis" your Business ?? No, not really , and it would have been unfair for them to expect you to ! Its just unfortunately hard when a crisis hits YOU... When it's your turn ... When you are the one in a tough situation ... you somehow expect the world to stop a bit and just show care ... But no , the world is in constant motion , the show must go on whether you are in deep shit or not ... It's how the world works !
We are here roaming this earth on our own ! We are on our own mission as individuals ! Here on our own 'selfish' accord ! It's even worse these days , these high technology "social media owned" days , we are so isolated in our existence . We have lost the love and need to "Connect" IN THE FLESH , to have real conversations and ... To Care !
So , go ahead ... Buy yourself that care ! Hell , "Pay for care" if need be. Do it ! The world doesn't care unless they are gaining from their care of you! Don't be left out in the cold ... Show YOURSELF care ... Make it YOUR business !!!
